Come and serve with the Sisters of St. Basil in their ministry to Ukraine’s poor and needy. This coming year’s Basilian Volunteer Program will take place from May 24 to June 14, 2020.

This year’s English catechetical camps and visits to orphanages and psychiatric institutions will include two separate groups to two different regions, one group will travel to eastern Ukraine (Poltava) and one to western Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk, Mukachevo and Drohobych).

Sr. Ann will be shepherding the Poltava contingent from May 22 to June 7, 2020 and Sr. Monica  will be leading the western contingent to Ivano-Frankivsk the week of May 27 to May 31, 2020, in Mukachevo from June 2 to 7, 2020 and in Drohobych June 10 to June 14, 2020.

Last year the program served 150 children in three different area camps and many other children in 8 orphanages, psychiatric institutions, halfway houses, etc. Sister Ann Laszok, OSBM and Sister Monica Lesnick, OSBM together with the accepted applicants will collaborate with the Sisters, priests and seminarians of Ukraine to provide Berlitz style English camps as well as continue bringing financial support to the orphanages. Join the Sisters as they continue their annual ministry of evangelization and catechization while bringing support and comfort to the needy of Ukraine.

Volunteers provide their own airfare to Lviv or Kyiv and the Sisters provide room and board within Ukraine.
