About the Order

The Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great is an international Order of Eastern Catholic women consecrated to God. We are called to live in communion as reflected in the life of the Blessed Trinity. Our unity in diversity enriches us and our ministry to God’s people. The Order is made up of provinces and delegatures around the world.

We, as Jesus, Lover of Humanity province, respond to the needs of God’s people today, embodying the welcoming presence of the Lord. We lead uniquely effective and innovative ministries in education, spiritual direction, evangelization and lay collaboration. In all that we do, we bring the rich traditions and mysteries of the Eastern Catholic Church to those we encounter.

The Generalate, located in Rome, governs the Sisters’ provinces around the world.
