Celebrating Theophany with Joy!
The Feast of Holy Theophany (Epiphany) of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ is celebrated each year on January 6. The Feast commemorates the Baptism of Christ and the divine revelation of the Holy Trinity.
“Because Christ has taken on our baptism of repentance, he has given it a new meaning and completes the transformation of our lives. In our sacramental mystery of baptism, God is giving us the gift of his Holy Spirit, and is declaring that we, too, in Christ, are his beloved children. Glory to the Holy Theophany which has given our lives an infinite value in God.” (Rev. David Petras)
On the eve of Theophany, the Sisters celebrated Vespers, the water blessing and the Bountiful Supper (“Schedryij Vechir”) with friends. Fr. Raphael Strontsitskyy (Studite), Fr. Joes Campellone, Fr. Jack Kolodziej, Fr. Dan Wisniewski and Fr. Vannicola (Oblates) joined the Sisters for prayer, supper and fellowship.
