Sister Lucia Murashko, OSBM is a member of Holy Trinity Province in Ukraine. She lives with two other Sisters in the Basilian monastery in Zaporizhzhia where she serves as superior. The Zaporizhzhia region has been very dangerous since 2022 and today is partly under Russian control.

Sister Lucia supplies a family in Ukraine with food and diapers.

Sister Lucia and her companions minister close to the front lines of the war with Russia where they support Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, including children and those with disabilities. They bring them medical supplies, food, and clothing. At the same time, the Sisters in Zaporizhzhia lead a youth group, organize iconography courses, prepare children and youth to receive the Sacred Mysteries (Sacraments), and care for parish needs. Plus, twice weekly they prepare meals for 30 – 40 people at the monastery, including soldiers and civilians, children and adults.
