St. Nicholas Celebration
On December 11, 2022, the Basilian Spirituality Center was a place of joy and celebration in honor of the feast of St. Nicholas. Thanks to many wonderfully generous donors, the Sisters were able to provide a memorable St. Nick’s day program for recently arrived Ukrainian refugee children.
The program started with Sr. Frantsyska, OSBM engaging the children in exploring who St. Nicholas was and what he did during his life. This was followed by a cartoon video about St. Nicholas. Pani Yulija Mykytchyn prepared several children to perform a small program which included songs and poems. Finally, the children welcomed St. Nicholas and received gifts after individually entertaining St. Nicholas with a song or poem.
Sr. Teodora, OSBM, who organized the event for the newly arrived refugee children, thanked everyone who helped her in the preparation and participation of this event. It was a joy-filled celebration!
